The RG Ceilidh / Barn Dance Band ref: 0342.1

Covering English, Scottish, Irish Ceilidh & Barn Dance, the RG band are a unique “not-so-traditional” Barn Dance Band. Merging traditional folk music with modern rock, they bring barn dancing to the 21st century. They play traditional tunes but use modern instruments to give the music a strong beat to help get you up and dancing. Planning a Wedding, Birthday Party or Fund Raiser? The band use top-flight callers with the basic aim of making mixed age family events and fund raisers relaxed and inclusive fun for first time barn dancer’s right through to experienced groups. From the number of repeat bookings they get, they believe that the Barn Dance or Ceilidh is the ideal format for weddings, special birthdays and general “get togethers” since it gets everyone involved and “breaks the ice” very quickly.

The music of The RG Band is truly a melting pot of influences - traditional jigs and reels rubbing shoulders with Glen Miller tunes, Shadows classics and even modern country line dancing standards (with the odd 16th Century branyl thrown in for good measure).
