The WR Ceilidh Band / Barn Dance Band ref: 4396
This 5 piece band play music which is essentially Celtic with a strong Irish influence. They include Scots and Welsh material and in fact their extensive set includes American, English and some from more exotic sources. On demand they present 'Welsh nights', Scots nights and Irish nights all through the medium of the English language! Their dance material is aimed at the less experienced dancer, so that a complete novice can start the evening with them, and enjoy every dance in the programme, without feeling bewildered! The dancer will also acquire a fair repertoire of skills in the course of that evening.
Band line-up is talented and includes the possibility of a range on instruments including:- fiddle, recorders, clarinet, sax, acoustic guitar, piano accordion, concertinas, bodhran and mandolin.
The WR Band's programme includes song spots and instrumentals to complement the dancing.
