The TS Barn Dance/Ceilidh Band ref: 6100.2
Looking for a ceilidh or barn dance near Sussex? The musicians in the TS Band have been performing at barn dances for many years. A barn dance is, first and foremost, about having fun. A good barn dance or ceilidh caller will have a repertoire of easy dances, and will provide clear instructions for the dancers. The aim is to provide a relaxed, lively social occasion. Good barn dances and ceilidhs have a natural 'social mixing' effect which works across all age ranges.
As with most ceilidh and barn dance bands, the repertoire of the TS Barn Dance Band include various dance tunes taken from English, Irish, Scottish and American folk traditions, and the mix of tunes can be tailored to the event.
NB. This is the larger band (Violin + melodeon/concertina + bass + caller) but the music clips are also of the smaller band.
Also available as a smaller 2 + caller band.
|Wedding||"The wedding guests and all my family had a great time and really enjoyed the band, there were a lot of happy people that night - you 1catered for all age groups. If I organised another event I would certainly come back to you, The only word I can describe is fantastic and everyone said to me how wonderful the band was."|
|Journalist, The Times||"...the Barn dance in Barnham turned out to be an absolute hoot. I'm struggling to imagine a more excellent outing."|
|Party||"Brilliant entertainment - I wish more people would have barn dances as they are such a good way of getting people up on the floor dancing together."|
|Wedding||You were all great! thank you for making that part of the wedding day so special. Everyone I spoke to said what a great band!!|
|Golden Wedding||We were very happy with your band and the caller – thank you very much for making our party so enjoyable. We all thought it was a tremendous fun and it went all too quickly. We also very much appreciated the way the caller joined in the dancing as most of us did not exactly know what we were doing but he we was very good at encouraging us. The beauty of the barn dance is that even if one does not know what one is doing, it is still possible to enjoy it very much. Our littler granddaughters had great fun as the caller treated them on equal terms with adults.|
