The MN Ceilidh/ Barn Dance Band ref: 6153

This three-piece band consists of Pete on piano, Philippa on fiddle and accordion, and Colin on whistles, flute, banjo and Spanish bagpipes (gaita). Between them they have many years' experience in playing for dancing. The band are joined by an expert caller for all their ceilidh gigs, so beginners and pro's alike can enjoy a range of set dances from around the world.

The MC Ceilidh Band is also available for many kinds of events and celebrations e.g. birthdays, wedding celebrations, processions, anniversary parties, fairs and festivals - throughout Cumbria and beyond.

The music is predominantly Scottish, Irish, Cumbrian and Old-Timey, with a distinct Shetland feel - flying melodies underpinned by bouncy rhythmic piano played in the style of the great Violet Tulloch - traditional, quirky, and full of life. Very dancy indeed…
