The WG Ceilidh Band are a lively five piece band. The band perform Irish Ceilidh (ceili) for weddings in and around the East of England. Chris their dedicated caller is on the floor with the dancers demonstrating what to do and helping people with the dances, throughout the evening. Instruments played include fiddle, guitar, vocals, bass, mandolin, mandola and either cajon or drums. They play ceilidhs / barn dances for wedding, parties, corporate events, fundraisers, etc. great fun and a lovely way to get people to mix with each other and stay fit.

This band have been performing their own particular brand of traditional English, Irish and Scottish music for a while now. The current 5 piece + caller line-up seems to have got people talking about them and they have been very busy recently playing pubs, folk clubs, universities and private parties. The FB Ceilidh / Barn Dance Band are highly regarded and have been playing together as a successful ceilidh dance band for over a decade. the East of England is within this band’s local area for Irish Ceilidh (ceili) .
Their repertoire is rooted in English folk, including their own compositions.
However, they always throw in plenty of Scottish tunes and dances (especially for Burns night), Irish and even French tunes just for good measure.
