PC Dance Orchestra

This band specialise in the unique British Dance Band sound of the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s with its combination of violins, saxophones and rhythm section. This type of music is associated with famous bandleaders such as Henry Hall, Ambrose, Harry Roy, and others. Any combination from 6 to 12 performers are available to cater for every occasion, including weddings, wedding anniversaries, birthdays, parties, etc.

Typically, the groups will perform two or three sets of around 45-55 minutes at most events. For a smalle xtra cost, the groups can include a male or female vocalist (or both) who can also act as compere for the performance. The vocalists sing in the styles of Al Bowlly, George Formby, Max Miller, Vera Lynn and Marlene Dietrich. They can perform their own solo cabaret items in between the band’s sets, or background music can be provided between sets.

Tracks are a mixture of band sizes. The first 4 are of the full 10 piece band band the last 4 are of a smaller group.

Testimonials

EventJust to say a very big 'Thank You' to yourself and the entire orchestra for performing. I'm still quite lost for words, it was a memorable evening, and the band played better than ever.
Themed eventI just wanted to write and thank you and the whole band for the fabulous contribution you all made to our 1940s VE/VJ Day themed evening. The quality and professionalism of the band was commented on by many who attended the evening event. The whole event wouldn't have felt the same without your band playing the authentic tunes of that era. The music was taking a great many back to an era that has many fond memories, thank you for making that happen.
PartyVery many thanks for the music you and your musicians provided for my party on Saturday. Comments I have already received include 'superb', 'just the job', 'the icing on the cake'. It was truly lovely. Should I be involved in a similar situation, I know who to ask for quality music.
Fund raiserWe were delighted with the success of the concert, with a complete sell-out and people having thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We have raised £1,120, and so, after expenses, around £850 for the clock fund. Please pass on my fulsome thanks to all your fellow musicians for their time, their tremendous performances and the great pleasure they gave to the audience, not to mention enabling the extra funds for the clock restoration. With best wishes, and thanks again
