The SG Ceilidh / Barn Dance Band

This band play music for all kinds of Ceilidhs and Barn Dances. Venues played last year include an American Indian tepee, an Asian Indian tent, sailing clubs, hotels, barns and even a coastal fort which had to be accessed through its gun ports!.

The current line up of musicians backs the caller with dance music on guitar, banjo, violin, mandolin, melodeon and percussion. They can also provide musical entertainment between dances with a variety of tunes and songs.

The band will have a great time playing for you, and will do their very best to make sure that you enjoy yourselves too.

Photos of band coming soon!

The Band play British traditional music for dancing or concert performances, also some American square dance tunes.

Each music track includes two tunes.

Testimonials

WeddingJust a quick note to thank you for your help on this and to thoroughly recommend the Band who were excellent and gave great value for money!
"What a fabulous evening. Our guests (who came from both the northern and southern hemispheres) have said it was one of the best wedding receptions they have ever been to. Your music and dance routines literally had everyone on the dance floor, young and old alike, novice or professional dancer and even those with two left feet or none at all. As one guest said ‘my feet were still tapping at breakfast the next morning’. Thank you for helping us to round off the perfect wedding day (despite the weather!). My husband and I are literally finding excuses to book you again! We would definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a fun filled celebration with a difference."
"Thank you for playing at the Black Bess New Year Ceilidh. A great fun time was had by all. Music and dancing for beginners and 'experts'. Looking forward to more fun this year."
Wedding"A big thank you to the band - you were absolutely brilliant throughout the meal and then into the evening. The music just seemed to fit perfectly with the setting and feel of the day."
