The Ceilidh Idealach Scottish Session Band ref: 4812.3

A traditional Scottish Session Band, playing music to listen to. Ideal for background music at a wedding or formal dinner. They play not only the well know Scottish favourites for the dancing, but interspersing with Strathsepys, the Music of Scott Skinner & the tunes of the Shetland Isles.

This is the 3 piece line up of the band. Derek (fiddle) lived in Strathaven for 15 years, and has played for Scottish Demonstration dances at international folk festivals here and abroad.

The line up for this band is drawn from the larger band which includes 2 fiddle, accordion, piano/ flute /piccolo, guitar, bass. As classically trained musicians, the band achieve the precision required of Scottish music.

Larger bands can be offered.

There is no caller in this line up. If you want to dance, you need a caller, so ask for a quote for the Ceilidh Band line-up, which includes a caller. They are an instrumental band and do not sing.
