The SR Ceilidh/ Barndance Band ref: 4882
This experienced band normally comprises of three musicians and a caller with an instrumental line- up of Button Accordion with midi Bass; Fiddle, and Electronic Wind Synth; Piano Accordion; Caller and vocals. They play mainly Scottish, Irish and English music for dancing. They play Reels, Jigs, Hornpipes and Polkas and are happy to include Ballroom requests- Walzes, Foxtrots and Quicksteps.
They offer singing spots and music in - between to help you get your breath back and are happy to play background music to complement your event. The evening can be tailored to include a mixture of the above and you can specify as much or as little dancing as you wish. The band have played at many venues in their area and in recent years have played at International Dance Festivals in Hungary, Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, France and Denmark.
The band play all kinds of music from England, Ireland, Scotland and some American Square Dance tunes - and can incorporate tunes that you may like to request.
