Many things have been written about this wedding venue and its location, for example: Kelham Hall, Newark, Nottinghamshire, Notts.

"Kelham Hall is a magnificent Victorian Mansion set within 42 acres of gardens and parkland, and is the perfect setting for all types of business and social events. The original building was destroyed by fire in 1857 and the owner, Mr Manners-Sutton chose George Gilbert Scott, architect of the Albert memorial and St Pancras Station to design the new Kelham Hall. Unashamedly "Gothic" this Victorian mansion remains an impressive landmark in the Trent valley. The hall was completed in 1861, although by then the money had run out and certain detail such as the clock tower were left unfinished. Alterations were made to the hall by the monks of the Society of the Sacred Mission, who purchased the house in 1903 for use as a theological training college as well as their Mother House. Where could be more romantic than a beautiful Victorian, ornately decorated mansion to hold your Wedding Ceremony? Kelham Hall provides an enchanting backdrop for that special day ? the ideal setting. Four different rooms are available accommodating from 6 ? 600 guests. This unique building with its choice of state rooms lends itself perfectly to the dignity of the marriage ceremony. An idyllic setting in 42 acres of gardens and parkland ? superb for photographs."
