"This splendid building is already one of the most popular choices for couples wishing to join together in a Wedding or a Civil Partnership. The Town Hall is located in an excellent position in the very heart of Blackpool, in Talbot Square opposite the famous North Pier and close to Car Parking facilities. Completed in 1900, this historic building is furnished in the grand style. The magnificent broad staircase, always adorned with fresh seasonal flowers, leads up to the impressive Council Chamber where the ceremony takes place. Many famous personalities, including World Leaders and celebrities of stage and screen have climbed those stairs during the Town Hall's long history. The elegant Victorian room with its ornate glass ceiling is steeped in history. The natural light filters through stained glass windows, which chart the aspirations of Blackpool. The panelled walls are decorated with murals depicting several chapters in the history of the Wars of the Roses, including the marriage of King Henry Vll of Lancaster to the Princess Elizabeth of York."
