Typically for a civil wedding, the quartet would play music for guests to listen to, before the ceremony, then for the entrance of the bride, during the signing of the register and as the couple made their exit. After the ceremony the quartet would typically move to play for the drinks reception and possibly during the meal. "A traditional setting, 19th century Keele Hall is a Grade 2 listed building set amongst the most beautiful gardens and Lakeland, and was once the home of the Sneyd family. The wedding ceremony will take place within in the Great Hall at 1pm - a dramatic stone and wood wall with high ceiling, and welcoming fireplace. The wedding meal will be served in the Salvin room, with views across the grounds of Keele. The meal will be at 3pm. The evening reception will commence at 6pm. Drinks may be purchased throughout the day and evening from the Bar in the Old Library. The evening buffet will be served from the Salvin room, a quiet area to chat away from the entertainment."
