Valerie has held the prestigious post of Principal Harp with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales since 1981 during which time she has appeared many times on TV and radio with the orchestra and as a soloist.

Valerie very much enjoys playing background harp music for weddings and other functions, with a broad repertoire of well-known classics, folk melodies and popular tunes.

As a former player with the Contemporary Music Ensemble of Wales, she has explored the genre of modern and avant-garde music and has been privileged to premier many new works over recent years.
