Lively dances and lovely music from all parts of France. This is a very experienced 6-piece band for concerts, festivals,parties etc. A novel alternative to a ceilidh or barn dance, with added "joie de vivre".
All dances explained clearly ( in English! ) by Florence, their French caller and chanteuse. They can also do a conventional English barndance, have a considerable repertoire of early music/dance, and music hall numbers. The BD Band was formed in 2005 with the aim of providing exciting and high quality music for ceilidhs, dances and other special occasions. This band plays for parties, weddings and other events in and around Lincolnshire. This family based ceilidh band are from East Yorkshire, and are available for hire at folk festivals, wedding receptions, parties, fund-raisers, and corporate events. Their extensive repertoire covers the United Kingdom and beyond, including Scottish, Irish, English Folk, Country and traditional music to name but a few.
The RB Band are a folk trio playing Celtic music for ceilidhs and folk nights, St Patrick's and Burns Night. The band regularly plays for private functions in Lincolnshire. They can include songs for when your dancers need to get their breath back! The instruments that they play include bouzouki, fiddle, button accordion, guitar and flute.
The NFB Band hail from Yorkshire and are a "power trio" of melodeon, fiddle and percussion. A fun band for a wedding or party in Lincolnshire. They have a mixed repertoire of the English and Scottish styles, or can stick to all the Scottish standards if you want a more traditional Scottish experience. Paul's Compact Ceilidh is one of our "one person band" ceilidh artists. Paul calls the dances and also plays melodeon. This band plays for parties, weddings and other events in and around Lincolnshire. Paul is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist playing in many bands - he knows his stuff and is able to get you all dancing, regardless of your age or expertise! He also brings all required equipment with him (all PAT tested and covered by PLI) and is ideal for intimate or quirky venues where there might not be space for a full band.
The CW Band usually comprises Maggie, David and Jenny, playing fiddle, accordion, keyboard and recorder, but they can provide more or less musicians as required. They have over 70 years experience of music making between them, and a similar time spent on the dance floor learning to appreciate good dance sound.
