The OB Band are one of the most respected barn dance bands in the North West. They specialise in playing for ceilidhs, barn dances and hoedowns. Heysham is within this band’s local area for Irish Ceilidh (ceili) . The band's danceable and foot-tapping sound is based on a varied range of instruments - melodeon, banjo, bouzouki, mandolin, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass.

The SL Band are a fun ceilidh and barn dance band based in the North West. The band perform Irish Ceilidh (ceili) for weddings in and around Heysham. They are highly experienced musicians and, together with their in-house caller, provide a good evening's entertainment - ideal for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, theme nights, fundraisers and more. The GM Band play music for all sorts of events and in venues such as hotels, restaurants and church halls. A great band for an Irish Ceilidh (ceili) on St Patrick's Day’s, or just to bring the flavour of Ireland to Heysham. Their line up is fiddle, guitar, bass and caller. Their caller is experienced in explaining the dances and then helping people through them. They usually start with very easy dances and then they get a bit more complex as the evening goes on. During any breaks, the band will play some tunes or sing a few songs.

This lively band need to be listened to to be fully appreciated. With a line-up of guitar, fiddle bass and vocals they would be an asset for any occasion.
