Guitarist - Andreas ref: 6530

Andreas is a guitarist, composer and music producer wiith a background of classical, Spanish, pop and world music. He studied classical guitar at the Municipal Conservatoire of Thessaloniki, the Ionian University of Greece and the Mozarteum in Salzburg. He has played at venues such as the Athens Concert Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields and has appeared on Hellenic National Radio and the BBC. He performed with Athens Camerata for HRH Princess Irene of Spain.

He has been playing professionally since the age of 16 and has won several national and international competitions. He has been invited as a soloist at many festivals in Europe and America. His love for the guitar and his wish to present new musical experiences to his audiences caused him to look for ways to broaden its repertoire and help the instrument to develop. He now makes his own transcriptions for the guitar of works by composers of the wider musical repertoire. His arrangements include mostly classical and pop music arranged for solo guitar.

Andreas has recorded four CD albums of music for guitar, and now teaches both in person and via Skype.
