Barn Dance Bands for your wedding@Mayor's Parlour & Council Chamber, Shaftsbury, Dorset

A special occasion, even more so with a live music group. Why not have a look at some of the barn dance bands who you may be interested in booking. The stimulating The SR Barn Dance /Ceilidh Band will get everyone up and having a great time. At a wedding ceilidh, the first dance can either be done to the band, or to the Bride and Groom's own CD. If the first dance is done by the ceilidh band or barn dance band, then it is often one involving the bride and groom as the 'centre piece'. It's a great way to start, because it involved all the guests and gets the evening off to a great start. Hear more examples of similar live music bands at: Barn Dance Bands who cover this area. "It is in some ways fitting that today the Town Hall should assume a new role as licensed premises for civil marriages. This historic building has witnessed the birth of many a romance in bygone days: many people remember meeting their husbands or wives here at dances in the Guildhall during World War II. The Mayor's Parlour is suitable for small, intimate wedding ceremonies. Depending upon the furniture used, the Parlour can accommodate between 10 and 20 guests. Silk floral displays and turned wooden posts are available if required and the posts can be arranged to create an aisle for the bride. If the Council Chamber is chosen for the ceremony, a champagne and canape or small buffet reception could be held in the Parlour to round off the occasion. The Council Chamber is a much larger room and can accommodate up to 50 guests (again depending upon the furniture chosen). Silk floral displays and turned wooden posts are available if required and the posts can be formed into an aisle for the bride. There are breath-taking views from the rear of the room overlooking Gold Hill and the Blackmore Vale. Should the Mayor's Parlour be chosen for the ceremony a champagne and canape or small buffet reception could be held in the Council Chamber to round off the occasion"
