A recording just doesn't have the class of a live music group. We have a number of ceilidh bands who play regularly in your area. The great The AA Scottish Ceilidh/ Dance Band know how to make the evening go and go. Typically, the evening would start with some music to listen to, to get people 'in the mood'. There would be a couple of dances, then a break for people to get their breath back, while the band played another tune, then another dance and so on.
