"Situated less than an hour away from London, the club offers a delightful oasis of calm and total privacy. Surrounded by mature trees and natural streams, the golf club is protected from modern day interuptions including main roads and housing developments. The Warren Golf Club has one of the most charming period clubhouses in the county. The building is made from a genuine timbered Essex Barn dating back to 1744, and was converted to a clubhouse in 1934. During the middle ages the land was incorporated into a large Red Deer park with associated carp ponds and rabbit warrens, features that are still evident today and provide the origin of the name The Warren."
