"The White House has a very original history ? it was built in Normanton near Rutland Water in 1926 but was removed brick by brick and re-built in 1931 in Scraptoft, because the owner did not like the view! It was taken over by the Northampton Brewing Company in 1950 and converted into a pub. Today the White House offers excellent food in a scenic setting."
