"This majestic building was built in the 1630?s as a farmhouse for Kirby Castle and its inhabitants nearby. It also replaced another farmhouse on the same site which from the middle-ages. The bricks were used in the repair of the farmhouse, so further adding to its character and historical charm. A century?s old farming tradition ended when the estate was sold in 1918."
