The Ringerike Ceilidh / Barn Dance Band ref: 4003.1
Ringerike is an experienced 3-piece or 4-piece ceilidh and barn dance band. Our aim is to provide a high quality of music and a great night’s entertainment for everyone – ideal for weddings, parties, corporate events and a wide range of occasions. The band is comprised of accomplished professional musicians and usually features fiddle and guitar along with flute/whistle, accordion and/or bass. One of the musicians always doubles as caller to give easily followed instructions so that everyone can join in all of the dances.
We have a wide repertoire of English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, American and European music to suit all tastes. In a typical evening we’ll include a number of different dances, all of them easy to learn, interspersed with some music to listen to so that everyone can get their breath back. However, we’re also happy to play as a session band for events (or for part of the evening) where there’s no dancing. The band brings its own PA equipment which is all PAT tested, and is covered by PLI insurance.
|Wedding||Dear Derek, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for such a wonderhul evenings entertainment you supplied us with on the 15th April at Eastnor. Everyone has said what a fantastic time they had and the ceilidh was a perfect end to our perfect day. On a personal note, we couldn't have asked for better and the band was fantastic - really got everyone going. I'm just sorry it was so cold! Again thank you for staying on so I could use your pa, hope it didn't make you too late home. If anyone asks me in the future for a ceilidh band recommendation, I will of course pass on your information. Once again, a huge huge thank you. Best regards, James|
|Wedding ceilidh||Thanks for the music at our wedding on the 21st Sept, we thoroughly enjoyed everything that your band played and the dancing got everyone going. We had an amazing day as a result of contributions from many people, so thank you once again.|
|Reception||Hope you all had a good time - we certainly did! The band was fantastic and was the icing on the cake for a really memorable occasion. Thanks again to all the crew.|
|Reception||The Ceilidh band were fantastic! We all had such a good time, especially once people had got over their shyness & were gallivanting around the dance floor!!|
|Birthday party||This is to say a big THANK YOU for coming on the evening and playing so well, and to such a high standard, much to the appreciation of all those we’ve spoken to/had messages/had cards from – and there were some pretty good folk musicians in the hall. It really was a very successful party, with Ringerike taking centre stage, and getting the, albeit willing, audience on their feet for lots of fun dancing. The ceilidh seemed to be pitched just right, with a good mix of the easier dances early on and the more intricate later on much to the delight/laughter of the dancers.|
|Wedding||All of our guests enjoyed themselves, whether dancing or watching – and we saw some people dance that we would never have imagined might give it a try! So thanks for pitching it at the right level. Many thanks|
|Birthday Party||"I would like to say that this band are FANTASTIC. We have a fabulous barn dance at St Arvans in October. Caller and musicians were wonderful and very easy to have around. Everyone said what a fabulous band they were. HUGE THANK YOU to you all."|
|Wedding||Dear Esther & the wonderful Ringerike Celidth band, Rhys & I are so very grateful that we chose you to play at our wedding on May 14th at Cotswolds Hotel & Spa. You made the evening extremely special, with a room full of laughter & smiles. The morning after, a group of our drama school friends were recapping the 'heel toe, heel toe' section. I do apologise that it was extremely loud in that room and hope you know that your efforts in teaching and entertaining were much appreciated and loved. We will certainly recommend you to others in the future. One last thing - we are getting some video footage from the barn dance, so if you'd like to see any for your website etc please let us know. Love & God bless, Maryanne & Rhys Jones|
