About Clevedon

Clevedon is on the Severn Estuary, on the north coast of Somerset. It was a popular seaside resort in the Victorian period. Clevedon pier was built in 1869 and is an early surviving Victorian pier.

There is a hill fort, Wain's Hill, south west of Clevedon and the name derives from the Old English word, don, for hill.
