Based on an English Barn Dance Band, they can also include American, Scottish and Irish if desired. Herefordshire is within this Barn Dance Band’s local performance area. Hear all the traditional barn dance tunes, dance all the dances, with the SR Band, including accordion, fiddle, bass and Sheila herself, the caller (+ guitar, percussion) ,– and what a lovely Geordie accent she has too! The band's emphasis is on having fun and they are happy to play for any event, from village socials, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings etc.
Smaller bands are also available.

Based on an Irish Ceilidh Band, they can also include Scottish, English and Irish music if desired. The Band have been playing in and around the Midlands since 1979, so their music is spot on for dancing. This Barn Dance Band is a regular visitor to Herefordshire.
The usual format is based around Roger's driving accordion - which is usually accompanied by guitar and fiddle. However a banjo player is sometimes available if required, especially if the night is crying out for an Irish Ceili 'flavour',with some of the well-known songs for good measure ... more
