Based on an English Barn Dance Band, they can also include American, Scottish and Irish if desired. the West Midlands is within this Barn Dance Band’s local performance area. Hear all the traditional barn dance tunes, dance all the dances, with the SR Band, including accordion, fiddle, bass and Sheila herself, the caller (+ guitar, percussion) ,– and what a lovely Geordie accent she has too! The band's emphasis is on having fun and they are happy to play for any event, from village socials, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings etc.
Smaller bands are also available.
The FP Band are a professional piano and violin (and flute/recorder) two-piece folk band - plus caller, who specialise in playing for social dance, Playford dances and balls, American contra and barn dances. This Barn Dance Band is a regular visitor to the West Midlands. The Band will make any event special, with a tailor-made programme of dances to suit your experience and occasion. This dynamic duo have been playing professionally for nearly a decade.
This Duo are also happy to offer a larger band adding more musicians as required.
The SK Band are a fiddle-led four-piece barn dance / ceilidh band and caller playing in a solidly 'British' style with an emphasis upon English tunes. The band members have a wealth of experience and have played together for seven years.
