Based on an English Barn Dance Band, they can also include American, Scottish and Irish if desired. Mid Wales is within this Barn Dance Band’s local performance area. Hear all the traditional barn dance tunes, dance all the dances, with the SR Band, including accordion, fiddle, bass and Sheila herself, the caller (+ guitar, percussion) ,– and what a lovely Geordie accent she has too! The band's emphasis is on having fun and they are happy to play for any event, from village socials, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings etc.

Experience the music and dances that would have been familiar to Thomas Hardy and the characters he encapsulated in his novels and poetry. This Barn Dance Band is a regular visitor to Mid Wales. This is an experienced band who have been playing together for a variety of functions for a number of years. The basic line-up is fiddle, melodeon, guitar, bass guitar or drums and caller.
