This duo comprise of George on accordion and vocals/caller and Helen on fiddle and vocals. They create a full and distinctive sound, showing the influence of the rock, classical and folk styles in which they work. South Wales is within this Barn Dance Band’s local performance area. Their programmes include traditional Welsh, Irish, American, and Klesmer music as well as self penned songs and tunes, all delivered in an informal and entertaining style. Based on an English Barn Dance Band, they can also include American, Scottish and Irish if desired. This Barn Dance Band is a regular visitor to South Wales. Hear all the traditional barn dance tunes, dance all the dances, with the SR Band, including accordion, fiddle, bass and Sheila herself, the caller (+ guitar, percussion) ,– and what a lovely Geordie accent she has too! The band's emphasis is on having fun and they are happy to play for any event, from village socials, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings etc.

This is the 3 piece including caller lineup of Ringerike (4 & 5 piece available). They play a huge range of folk music for both listening and dancing to. They are no ordinary folk band. As classically trained musicians, they "put the music" into folk. The Barn Dance Band performs regularly in South Wales. This is an experienced band who have been playing together for a variety of functions for a number of years. The basic line-up is fiddle, melodeon, guitar, bass guitar or drums and caller.
